International and national cultural differences are
in the focus in this story which discovers the connection between
progress, artist's responsibility and sources of strength in dark
times.
It is a story about emigration, a burning
issue now in Yugoslavia but also in USA where immigration issues
have been coming more and more to the forefront. It opens questions
like: "Is it possible for an artist to thrive and continue
creating outside his/her native country? "What are the implications
of creating elsewhere versus remaining at home?"
The story occurs mostly in Savannah,
Georgia, with some scenes set in Sevilla, Russia and the Balkans.
